  • Overview

    The Senior Accounting & Financial Analyst is responsible for preparing standard and specialized financial transactions and reports (e.g. balance sheets, income statements, statements of cash flows, monthly closing reports, etc.) according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other regulatory requirements. Take prominent role in conversion of ERP system. Responsible for compiling and analyzing financial information to prepare journal entries and corresponding account reconciliations. The Senior Accounting & Financial Analyst will also be responsible for assisting in the analysis of current and past trends in key performance indicators, including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses and capital expenditures, in addition to quarterly and monthly financial reports and ad-hoc reporting and analysis. Investigates, proposes, and documents process improvements to increase departmental efficiencies; and participates in other accounting projects and duties as needed. 


    The essential responsibilities of the Senior Accounting & Financial Analyst are to:

    • Lead accurate and timely preparation of account analyses and journal entries for month-end closing process.
    • Prepare standard and specialized financial statements on a monthly and ad-hoc basis.
    • Assist in conversion to new ERP system within first few months of employment and continued usage and administration of system post-implementation
    • Assist in the analysis and application of GAAP, including research as required for changing accounting standards (e.g. ASC 606 conversion).
    • Oversee compliance of 1099, sales & use, and property tax filings.
    • Work with external auditors to support required financial statement audits.
    • Create procedures to increase the efficiency and accuracy of the close and reporting processes.
    • Assists the Manager of Finance Operations with special projects, ad hoc analysis, and other duties as needed.


    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and 2-4 years of experience
    • CPA Certification
    • Experience in financial statement preparation preferred
    • ERP system knowledge preferred
    • Self-motivated, proactive, ability to work independently and demonstrate strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to manage projects and prioritize workload effectively
    • Ability to handle financial data and maintain a high level of accuracy
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; advanced Excel skills
    • Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
