  • Overview

    The Pharmacist, Clinical Services is responsible for reviewing and maintaining the clinical content within Connecture’s Therapeutic Alternatives Database, conducting clinical analyses for the Reference Based Pricing Program and providing clinical support to the company for various projects and products.

    The Clinical Services, Pharmacist position is a career-development position within field. This role conducts tasks and assignments as directed.

    The essential responsibilities of the Pharmacist, Clinical Services are to.

    • Develop and maintain class level therapeutic alternatives for the Therapeutic Alternatives Database.
    • Research and analyze medical literature including drug information, clinical trials, and clinical practice guidelines
    • Collaborate with physicians to determine practical applicability of therapeutic alternatives
    • Conduct clinical analyses as part of the Reference Based Pricing product according to the client’s requirements to meet cost-effect pharmacy management and outcomes
    • Work with the data entry team to incorporate clinical therapeutic alternative into the product interface
    • Assist the Sr. Manager, Clinical Services in developing and executing the communication plan for clients and members.
    • Collaborate with Product Management team to develop new products
    • Collaborate with the Data Team to create reporting and analytics for clinical products
    • Stay current with knowledge of industry and prescribing trends
    • Support the sales process, when necessary



    • PharmD
    • 3-5 years of clinical experience
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a managed care setting
    • Active Registered Pharmacist license in good standing 


    • Demonstrated proficiency in analyzing medical literature
    • Experience with Pharmacy benefit designs, formularies, utilization management programs and drug pricing. Specialty Pharmacy experience a plus.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
    • Ability to work independently with remote team members
    • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
    • Experience and comfort in leading client discussions

    • Ability to work longer hours as needed
    • Ability to travel occasionally
