  • Overview

    The Intermediate Business Analyst is an external client-facing consulting position. This role is responsible for supporting the success of project implementations, including transition to customer support as well as overall client satisfaction. The Intermediate Business Analyst must have strong knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC). This role will assist in requirements gathering, design sessions and project planning.



    The essential responsibilities of the Intermediate Business Analyst are to.

    • Acts as a liaison between customers internal and external stakeholders.
    • Manage and track the status of requirements throughout the software development lifecycle; enforce and redefine as necessary.
    • Provide thorough and practical solutions to a wide range of complex problems.
    • Work with senior/lead BA and customers to ensure their documentation is complete and accurately depict the needs of their business.
    • Identify project issues and escalate when support is needed.
    • Assist with customer support issues and defect analysis efforts when required, including defect and issue triaging and testing.
    • Work to become knowledgeable on products functionality and to gain an understanding of health insurance practices and processes.
    • Assist with evaluating information, reconciling conflicts, decomposing high-level information. • Assist with scope definition high level requirements and done criteria.
    • Create process models and wireframes Translate functional requirements into user stories and done criteria.
    • Participate in sprint planning sessions, and participate in Sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
    • Responsible for the application of systems analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting with users, to determine, software or system functional specifications;
    • Responsible for the design, documentation, analysis, testing of computer systems or programs, including prototypes, based on and related to user or system design specifications;
    • Responsible for the design, documentation, testing, creation or modification of computer programs.


    • Bachelor’s degree in related field (i.e. Business, Finance, Math, Computer Science, etc.) or equivalent work experience.
    • 4+ years of recent business analyst work with software/web development experience.
