  • Overview

    The Vice President, Software Engineering is responsible for the delivery of Client Services project implementations and personnel management for multiple project teams of application developers. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide leadership to the technical leads and development team for multiple projects.  This includes timely delivery of design and technical documentation, project estimations, resource estimation, schedules, and software.


    • Implementation of software code including unit test code
    • Deep understanding of Agile, Continuous Integration, Continuous delivery, and other Lean Software practices
    • Experience implementing best practices in Agile, Continuous Integration, Continuous delivery, and other Lean Software practices.
    • Hands on ability to manage
      • Software design
      • Production of software design specifications and other appropriate technical documentation
      • Adherence to schedules and deadlines; good time-management skills
      • Aptitude for problem-solving, ability to generate innovative approaches and solutions to problems
      • Adherence to defined product development process
      • Effective written and verbal communication skills
      • Provide training & mentoring for less experienced staff
      • Generate innovative approaches and solutions to problems and create an environment where others are encouraged to do so.

    Technical Management:

    • Communicates and enforces coding standards.
    • Performs code reviews and mentors developers and technical leads.
    • Ensure the developers consistently deliver high-quality services to our clients.

    General Competencies:

    • Facilitates team and client meetings with IT staff effectively.
    • Keeps development team well informed of changes within the organization and corporate news.
    • Proficiency at presenting information in an executive forum.
    • Manages client interaction and expectations regarding development efforts.
    • Manage development resources – coordinate administration of project reviews, annual reviews, and employee promotion and compensation


    • Bachelor's degree (CS, EE, or Math preferred) or equivalent work experience
    • 15+ years experience in Java, J2EE technologies and strong exposure to frameworks like Struts, Spring, Hibernate, NoSQL, and understanding newer techniques like MicroServices, etc.  
    • Healthcare relevant experience is a plus
